
U.S. Michigan Consumer Sentiment
Deltafx Admin 13 February 2023The University of Michigan’s Consumer Sentiment Index assesses the relative level of current and future economic conditions. Two versions of this data are released at two-week intervals, a preliminary and a revised version. Primary data tend to be more influential. These data were collected in a survey of about 500 consumers.
The release of a higher than expected reading should be considered positive/bullish for the USD, while the release of a lower than expected reading should be considered negative/bearish for the USD.
The University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index in the United States was released at 3:00 PM on February 10 at 66.4. The expected value was 65.0. It should be noted that the figure of the last period of this index was 64.9.
Following the publication of the higher than expected figure of this index, we saw the change in the dollar price in the markets.
