Turkey’s state-owned pipeline operator Botas announced in a statement Saturday that a disruption in Iran’s network has reduced gas supplies to Turkey since Jan. 1.
Turkish authorities have called on Iran to solve this problem as soon as possible.
Iran is Turkey’s second gas supplier after Russia.
In January 2022, at the same time last year, Iran also stopped its gas exports to Turkey. At that time, Turkey cut off electricity supply to the industrial sector.
